Kristen brings over 15 years of successful fundraising and nonprofit experience to the Beyond Nines Group, with her specialization is in arts, cultural, and membership-driven organizations. She has developed a particular strength working closely with clients on customization of business processes, strategic planning for annual and capital campaigns, managing events and volunteers.Kristen’s professional background has been rooted in arts and cultural institutions. Prior to her work as a consultant she worked as a member of the development staff for institutions like the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). During her tenure with the LA Philharmonic, she developed and managed all aspects of their $16 million capital campaign for the construction of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

As a consultant, Kristen has taken her frontline experience working at all levels of nonprofit organizations and combined this with her ability to apply strategic thinking to day-to-day business processes. She excels at building cost-effective solutions for clients that are limited in resources. Kristen began her fundraising consulting career with Blackbaud, Inc. but has worked independently since 2007.

Kristen received her Bachelor of Arts in History from University of California, Davis and just completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in 2010.

In her free time, Kristen can be found traveling the globe with friends and family, working in her garden, baking something yummy, trying to improve her rusty French, or on her porch reading with her three cats.
