Glen Kendell

Glen earned a Bachelors of Science in Physics from the University of Washington. After graduation, Glen spent a year in graduate school in Geophysics before deciding the academic life wasn’t for him. As fate would have it, he decided to pursue a career in computer networking just before the Internet took off. In 1995, he joined Emulex as a Product Manager for a purple remote access router called ConnectPlus Pro. He subsequently worked as a software developer, database administrator and network operations manager for several now-defunct Internet start-up companies, during which time he became interested in computer security and remains a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Married, with a teenage daughter, Glen enjoys traveling the world with his family. He found visits to Singapore, Hong Kong, Israel, and India to be transformational. “Traveling is both humbling and enlightening. Nothing can substitute for experiencing the cultures of the world firsthand. I love meeting new people, seeing new places. It makes me feel alive and happy.”

Glen loves volunteering in his community, catching a college football game with his father or a couple buddies, caramel candies, and playing the guitar — badly, but he’s taking lessons and hoping that his skill level will soon match his enthusiasm.
