Deanna began her professional fundraising journey 10 years ago at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens as their Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator. Over the course of the next few years, she gradually transitioned her career to independent Raiser’s Edge consulting. She has specialized in training, database clean up, interim database management and auction /event data management.
In 2009, Deanna and her husband moved from California to the Portland, Oregon area, where they live on a small three-acre farm with a wild menagerie of animals and gardens. She and her husband look after their little farmette, enjoy spending time outside, hanging out with their three retired greyhounds, and selling eggs and chicken to friends and neighbors in the community. Through these experiences she’s become invested and involved in her new community in the pacific northwest. A homesteading/activist/earth mama at heart, it fits that Deanna was able to make a path in a career that helps other people be the most effective advocates they can be.
